First Post

Hi there. This isn’t TECHNICALLY my first post on tumblr. I’ve had a tumblr before but obviously it didn’t work out. But I’m back! Basically because there are some things in life that I just can’t condense into 140 charecters. I need an outlet. I have Facebook for staying in touch with everyone I know, I have twitter for staying in the know, I have DailyBooth for sharing pictures, and now I have tumblr to blog.

Where to start. Always the toughest part about these kinda things. Well, let’s keep it simple for now. Let’s just talk about yesterday. It was a pretty awesome day! After work, Stephen and I got ready for our big trip to Six Flags to experience their Fright Fest! We left at 9:30 in the morning with Stephen’s roommate Eric and his friend Melinda. We put a CD in called “Boner Jams ‘09 Six Flags Fright Fest” (or something like that) and headed out! Jamming the whole way there, loving the moments! We got there and met up with 3 of Eric’s other friends. They all ate (I wasn’t hungry) and then we headed for some coasters, stopping for any available photo-op on the way. Got some free candy from random Six Flags employees that were sponsored by Walgreens. Thanks Walgreens for the free candy! Lines were moderate, the weather was decent, and the rides were kickass! I managed to obtain a beer, which I didn’t even know they sold at Six Flags. It cost me $9.75 but it was kind of worth it to be able to say I drank beer legally at Six Flags. You would think they wouldn’t sell alcohol so that adults couldn’t get drunk and traumatize children, but I guess I was wrong. Touche America! Anyways, more rides and more photo-ops later, we stumbled across a arcade and I was able to showcase my “amazing” DDR skills. FUN!! After that we got spooked by costumed employees, and then rode the tea-cups. Those tea-cups were CRAZY!! They enclosed them to make it dark. There were smoke machines, strobe lights, and hardcore techno music! Stephen spun us so fast, I felt like my brains were going to come flying out and smash into a wall. I was dizzy, nauseous, and my neck hurt afterwords. FUN though somehow. It started getting darker and darker, and much colder too. We were running out of options. We decided the Superman would be our last ride, 90 minute wait or not. We waited the wait, rode the Superman, and became partially frozen in the process. It was AWESOME!! lol! We then proceeded to leave the park, seeking warmth inside Eric’s Jeep. We all decided to go to Steak ‘N’ Shake for dinner. Our server was hillarious. She obviously hated her job and made it pretty obvious which ended up being pretty amusing from our point of view. The food was cheap, and tasted cheap, but you know how cheap food somehow tastes good. It was my very first Steak ‘N’ Shake experience and I gave it a thumbs up even though I had some mild digestive cramps afterwords, still worth it! After that, we headed back for Chicago. Stephen and I fell asleep in the car and before we knew it, we were back in boystown. We headed straight for bed and had some of the best sleep we had ever had.

Well, how’s that for a first entry? I hope it wasn’t boring. If you have any suggestions on how to improve my posts, don’t be afraid to let me know. I hope SOMEBODY reads this, I don’t currently know anyone on tumblr, but I’m hoping it’s connection to Facebook and Twitter might help to change that. The real question is, does anyone out there, besides my boyfriend, really give a shit about my life? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Anyone out there care about me?!?
